Creation myths of Bernevae
I. The Mother.
In the beginning, there was nothing. The Mother, yearning for company, gave birth to the radiant stars and their consorts, the eternally dancing worlds. Thus the universe was created- an act of light and heat to fill the cold void all around the first goddess.
Satisfied with her work, Mother spend aeons watching the dance of the celestial spheres, in patterns of ever-growing complexity and beauty. She observed interactions between the larger and smaller of her first children, the colorful clouds that signified the creation of a new world- or the destruction of an older one. Stars gathered and traveled together in the universe, always looking for uncharted regions to settle in, before moving even farther away.
And yet, Mother felt that something was missing: An intelligent being to match her own consciousness with acts of creation that She would not even dream of.
